I bought this for my wife for her birthday from another E-tailer. They said it would take 6 to 8 weeks to ship as it’s just starting to become available. Six weeks later I get an email that it’s been delayed another month. OK I decided it’ll be worth the wait. Three weeks later I get a notice that it’s been canceled and this e-tailer won’t have it available.

I now had to scramble to get another order placed. I googled the model number and did some searching. Everyone was sold out except Amazon so I placed the order. We’ve now had it for 2 months and it’s the hit of our house parties with our friends. They all expect the machine to come out sometime during the party.

We have a lesser SoundMachine model that we got as a Christmas gift but all that would do is skip and make the words unreadable if it wasn’t exactly level or jostled. If people are dancing it can be shaken a little and that’s all it needed to have problems.

This model is great. You can get hopping and it doesn’t skip a beat. The detatchable speakers are a nice touch to fill up the party area evenly with music. The built in camera is fun but make sure you stay in a spotlight if you want a good quality image as it doesn’t pick up images in a low light environment. Overall, a fun product for house parties.

I purchased this product just prior to the Super Bowl, and the first time I used it was at the pre Super Bowl party that my wife and I hosted. I had 25 people over 40 rockin with this Karaoke Machine so my personal experience was positive. With all that being said I would reccomend this item. you dont have to be a kid to have fun with this.

    A huge disappointment, December 29, 2010

Were were very excited about getting our own karaoke machine for my daughter and her desire to sing, however this system for what it cost was a huge disappointment. There is limited assembly of the base of the speakers required, but the screws were cheap and broke when we put it together (with hand tools). The holes were not properly aligned. The primarily plastic construction seemed cheap.

Once working, it appeared to have pretty decent sound, however it wasn’t long after we started using it when the screen froze up and the music wouldn’t play. If we unplugged and plugged it back it it would for a few songs then freeze up again. Sometimes the machine would not respond to pressing the buttons that forward to the next song or stop the current song. One other item, the system came with two wired mics instead of 1 wired and 1 wireless.

We could have lived with the construction but, given the freeze ups – which basically made the product unusable, we decided to send it back for a refund.

SO far the seller response has been good. The product was shipped and received within the timeframe promised. It arrived in good condition. When we sent an email about our situation and our desire to return the product, they responded very quickly with the UPS shipping label which covered the return shipping. It has only been 2 days so we still are waiting to see if the product makes it back and we get our refund.

For the price, there has to be better stuff out there!
